The City of Cape Coral has created a few rules for Open House for Realtor serving the Cape Coral area to avoid confusion.

2 Open House signs as follows:

A. During supervised real estate Open Houses, one onsite Open House sign, 2 standard flag signs onsite and 2 offsite directional signs per property site shall be allowed without a permit provided that a valid certificate of occupancy has been issued by the City of Cape Coral for the premises.

B. The maximum sign area for each onsite Open House sign and for each offsite directional sign shall be four square feet.

C. The aforesaid signs and/or flags may be located on private property or on adjacent right-of-way provided that no sign shall be less than 10 feet from any street or sidewalk and provided that the owner of the property, or the property adjacent to the right of way, on which the sign is to be placed consents in writing to the location of the sign.
